
Steven Farrell is the Owner and Broker of Classic Properties. He has grown the company from 2 offices and 17 agents to 4 locations with over 137 sales associates and 20 staff. These offices serve all of Northeastern Pennsylvania including Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, the Poconos and Lackawanna, Luzerne, Pike, Wayne, Susquehanna, Wyoming and Monroe counties. In 2022 Classic Properties closed 1,322 transactions with $306 million in sales volume. For the past 10 years Classic Properties has been recognized by Real Trends and The Wall Street Journal as one of the “Largest Privately Owned Independents” and by Real Estate Magazine as one of the “Top Power Broker Firms”.
With over 30 years of real estate experience, Farrell started his career as an agent in Binghamton, NY before purchasing Classic Properties in 2003. His goal was to create a regional brokerage across Northeastern Pennsylvania and Classic Properties has achieved that goal and is the first to hold that much market share in the entire region.
Farrell is involved in the industry as a member of the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World mastermind group and FM Partners. He previously served on Leading RE’s “Young Guns” advisory team. He is a housing consultant for The Institute for Public Policy and Economic Development and serves on the Board of Trustees for Regional Hospital/Commonwealth Health Systems.
Farrell and Classic Properties support NeighborWorks, a regional organization dedicated to neighborhood revitalization and housing opportunities and financial guidance. He sponsors several children’s sports teams in the region.
A graduate of Canterbury School and Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business, Farrell lives in Waverly with his two sons. He is a member of Glenmaura National Golf Club and the Country Club of Scranton and serves on the Board of Incorporators for LIFE (Lackawanna Industrial Fund Enterprises).
